Whether a phone is a land line, desktop virtual phone or cell phone, everyone wants to be able to make free calls within the United States and Canada. Every person but phone services like the idea a lot. Gmail and Google Voice being linked is great for those individuals wanting to very easily make free phone calls to wherever they need. Wherever Gmail is accessible, so is free calling.
Google Voice helps by making a phone service out of your Gmail contacts
Just because cell phone coverage isn’t there doesn’t mean you shouldn’t be able to make calls. Just use Google Voice with any internet connection. Any calls outside the U.S. or Canada do have a rate. The rate is only 2 cents per minute though. The Google Talk plug-in is the only things needed, says Tech Crunch. You are able to make and receive calls from your Gmail interface of all places. Voicemails are saved into your Gmail inbox. If you need to keep talking but are leaving, you also have the option of transferring a call from Google Voice to your cell phone.
Google Voice in Gmail is coming soon
Google will make the Google Voice feature accessible in the United States in the next few days. That was said on the official Google Voice Blog most recently. Watch for “Call Phone” to show up as part of your Google Chat list. There could be a Google Voice feature for those using Google Apps for academic or business purposes. Of course that might take just a little longer to appear and be useable.
